2015 1 oz Chinese Gold Panda
The People’s Republic of China began issuing the 1 oz Chinese Gold Panda coin in 1982. It is always stuck in .999 pure gold, and has a different design for every year with the exception of the 2002 Gold Pandas which were identical to the 2001’s.
The 1 oz Chinese Gold Panda is always struck proof-like brilliant uncirculated quality. The 1983 Gold Panda was the first coin to use the mirror and matte finish which can give the appearance of a black background in photographs.
The Chinese Gold Panda is legal tender for the People’s Republic of China and, like many other bullion coins, has been issued in fractions of a troy ounce. You can purchase 1 troy ounce, 1/2 troy, 1/4 troy, 1/10th troy and even 1/20th troy ounce fractional. The are even special years were the Gold Panda was issued in amounts greater than one troy ounce
The Chinese Panda comes sealed in plastic directly from its mint. It is important to never open the plastic as this can effect the resale value of your coin. Even if you are going to send to a grading service be sure you let them open it for you.
The Gold Panda is considered semi-numismatic, which accounts for its higher premium. Veldt Gold sells the Gold Panda without emphasis on the year. Contact us before placing an order if you are looking for a specific year.
